Music

Where Do I Start?

Anybody who has a passion for music can play it – whether you want to play for your own enjoyment or you have aspirations of making music your profession. First decide which instrument speaks to you.
From there it’s a journey of discovery.

If you have already chosen an instrument, we are ready to begin. If you’re still wondering if it’s the cello or the guitar that you’d like to begin with, stop by at the academy to meet us and to try out a few instruments. You discover only by doing a bit of searching…

Everybody’s path is different – create your own learning path and discover your musical voice in a way that stimulates and inspires you most.

One-on-One lessons

Private instruction allows you to learn at your own pace, and us to tailor the lessons to your unique goals. Whether you want to master a tune to sing at your wedding or play Chopin’s Nocturne in B-flat minor,
we have you covered.

Group Lessons & Band Mentoring

Why not pull up a chair with a group of like-minded budding musicians and learn to play your chosen instrument together? If your musical ambitions are more socially minded, this is where you need to be.
We teach groups of up to four people at a time.

WAM also offers mentoring sessions for new bands – so step out of the garage and into our rehearsal studio, where one of our pros will guide you and your bandmates towards achieving a more cohesive sound.

The joy of playing, bringing players together and bringing listeners together are at the core of making music.

Kids’ classes

Children aged eight or older can enrol for private or group music lessons.

Also try out our parents-and-kids’ sessions, where music becomes a family experience – or simply an opportunity to let off some steam by bashing a drum once a week.

Online Lessons

Prefer to learn from home? No problem – our teachers are geared up to get you learning and inspired with whatever device and software you make use of.

Students and teachers are the same:
We are all and always students of music.
